Gal Pals is a queer dance party centring queer women, trans and non-binary people.

We aim to create a space that is as safe as possible for everyone who attends. Please ensure you have read through our house rules thoroughly before attending.

House Rules

  • We operate a zero tolerance policy to harassment of any kind.
This includes, but is not limited to, ableism, ageism, biphobia, fatphobia, homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia and xenophobia.

Anyone who does not follow this policy will be asked to leave.

If someone makes you feel uncomfortable in any way, please let one of our team or a member of venue staff know.

  • Consent is mandatory.
Do not touch anyone without their consent. This includes clothes, hair, and any belongings. We know it’s a party and the dance floor can get busy but do not push or deliberately touch anyone without their consent. Always ask first and remember no means no.

  • Ask, don’t assume
Please don’t assume someone’s gender or sexuality. Always ask for pronouns.

If you are made to feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any point during the night please speak to someone from our welfare team (in neon pink high vis), a member of venue staff or our team who have all been briefed on our safe(r) space policies.

Welfare Support

We’re really excited to be working with Safe Only who will be providing welfare support for all of our events moving forwards.

Safe Only provides queer security, welfare and nightlife services. All of their team are highly trained in conflict resolution, de-escalation and drug awareness/response. They centre harm reduction in everything they do.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unwell or someone is making you feel uncomfortable, please speak to someone from the welfare team. They will be highly recognisable in their neon pink high vis. The key is to let us know immediately so we can change things whilst you are still at the event.

In addition you can always speak to someone from the Gal Pals crew (wearing big Gal Pals badges), or venue security who have all been briefed on our safer spaces policies and LGBTQ inclusion.
